Some Product Sets are evergreen, but others are tied to a season or moment, like holiday gift guides, back-to-school picks, summer essentials, or limited-time promos.

With Datafeedr, you can build seasonal Product Sets that stay focused, timely, and on-brand.

To start, narrow down the topic or theme of the Product Set.

Once you know the theme, you can further narrow your Product Set with filters. A few that work well for seasonal collections could be:

  • Keywords in the product name or description
  • Final price range (for products under a certain price)
  • Brand or merchant (if you're working with specific partners)
  • In-stock status

For example, a “Back-to-School Tech” set might include laptops, headphones, and calculators under $500. A “Holiday Gifts for Her” set could use keywords like “jewelry” or “cozy” and set a final price between $100-$150.

You can keep checking your results as you build the Product, then clean up anything off-topic with a few quick keyword exclusions.

If you want feature a few products that don’t meet the default rules, use the Manual Method to be sure these products get included in the Product Set. This gives you the flexibility to spotlight top items, trending styles, or promoted products outside of your standard criteria.

When creating seasonal or time-limited Product Sets is you don’t always need to start from scratch. For example,

  • Use last year’s set and update the products
  • Refresh the price filters
  • Add new merchants or networks

This saves time and helps you maintain consistency across seasonal campaigns.
