When building Product Sets, it is common to search for variations one at a time. You might look for “red shoes,” then run another search for “blue shoes,” or “green shoes.”

With the OR search operator, you can combine multiple keywords in a single query and return all of those variations at once.

This way, you can design one query that pulls all the variations or products that you need to make your Product Sets more complete.

It also reduces the chance of missing something. If you know your audience is interested in a few different styles, categories, or attributes, you can include all of them in one pass.

"Or" Search Operator (Pipe symbol)

Use | (Pipe symbol) to run an "or" query and connect the terms you want to capture.

For example:

  • red OR blue OR green shoes
  • sneakers OR trainers OR running shoes
  • kids OR children OR youth clothing
  • leather OR suede OR canvas bags

This tells the search to return products that match any of those keywords.

When you combine keywords, you end up with sets that cover your intent without requiring extra steps.

You can then refine further by layering in price ranges, merchant filters, or attributes like size, material, or gender.

For instance, a search for (red OR blue OR green) dress plus a price filter under 100 gives you a focused, relevant Product Set.

Combining keywords in a single query can speed up Product Set creation and ensures you capture all the variations you want to return cleaner results from the start.
