Some Search Fields are related to product pricing. Other Search Fields are related to the networks and merchants they are part of. And, some are related to product identification.

These Product Identification Search Fields include Product ID, SKU, and Barcode. Depending on the products you are looking to find, there are cases where it may be helpful to use one or more of these Search Fields to achieve your desired results.

Each field is used by entering a string of numbers that is specific to a product. You can also search for multiple products at a time using these fields by separating them with a comma.

Barcode

Barcodes are unique to the product, not unique to the merchant. Barcodes are a great way to search and see which merchants have the product available. For example, a product will have the same barcode at Target, Walmart, Best Buy, etc.

You may find the Barcode listed on your favorite merchant’s website. Just like the Product ID Search Field, this field is useful when you have one, exact product that you want to quickly find. It is important to note that not every product has a Barcode field available in the Datafeedr database. This is dependent on if the merchant provides a Barcode or not.

On Datafeedr, you can use the Barcode Search Field to search by any/all of the EAN, UPC or GTIN values provided by the merchant.

SKU

SKU stands for Stock Keeping Unit and this information is unique to each merchant. Merchants use SKUs to keep track of inventory and manage products.

Product variations each have their own unique SKU. For example, a red jacket in size medium will have a different SKU than the same jacket but in blue in size medium.

You may find the SKU listed on your favorite merchant’s website. Just like the Product ID Search Field, this field is useful when you have one, exact product that you want to quickly find. It is important to note that not every product has a SKU field available in the Datafeedr database. This is dependent on if the merchant provides a SKU or not.

Product ID

The Product ID is specific to Datafeedr as this is how products are stored in the Datafeedr database. This is not information provided by the merchant.

This field is useful when you have one, exact product that you want to quickly find. Every product in the Datafeedr database has a unique Product ID available. You can also see the product ID next to the product name in the search results.
