When discovering products on the Scratchpad or adding products to a Product Set, there are various search filters relating to price. This includes the Price, Sale Price, Final Price, Discount, and Sale search filter. Each of these price search filters serve a different purpose and will show you different products in your search results.

Price Search Filter

The Price search filter is used to find products based on their regular price. You can find products less than, greater than, or within a price range that you set.

Price search filter

The Price search filter does not consider sale prices. So, if you set a price range between $50-$100, you won't see a product that costs $100 regularly but is currently on sale for $95. This filter only returns products without a sale price.

This filter can be helpful when you want to find products at a specific price, without including those products that are just currently on sale at that price.

Sale Price

The Sale Price search filter is used to find products based on their sale price. You can find products less than, greater than, or within a sale price range that you set.

Sale Price search filter

The Sale search filter does not consider regular prices. It will only search for products which have a sale price.  So, if you set a sale range of between $50-$100, you won't see a product that is $60 regularly but is currently on sale for $40.

This filter can be helpful when you want to see products on sale in a price range, but not regular-priced products in that range.

Final Price

The Final Price search filter is used to find products based on their final price. You can find products less than, greater than, or within a the final price range that you set.

Final Price search filter

The Final Price search filter considers both the regular price and the sale price. It displays the lower of the two as the final price. So, if you search for products with a Final Price greater than $300. you will see all products that have either a regular price or a sale price greater than $300.

This filter can be helpful when you want to find products that are a certain price or within a certain price range, regardless of if they are on sale or not.

Discount

The Discount search filter is used to find products based on their percentage off. You can find products less than, greater than, or within a price range that you set.

Discount search filter

You can search for products that are discounted by a certain percentage (between 1-100), and you do not need to enter the percentage sign.

This filter can be helpful when you want to see products with a specific discount. For example, you want to see all products that are currently on sale for greater than 30% off.

On Sale

The On Sale search field will either show you products that are on sale, or products that are not on sale. Set this field to "yes" to return only products which are on sale. To exclude products which are on sale, set this field to "no".

On Sale search filter

This filter is useful if you want to see either only sale items or only non-sale items, regardless of their price or discount

When using these search filters, keep in mind you can use them individually or in any combination. To learn more about using search filters to do advanced product searches, you can watch our Youtube tutorial here.
