When creating or editing a Product Set, not all filters behave the same way. Some filters can take priority over others.

Understanding how these work together can help your search return the results you expect.

Filters like network name, merchant name, network ID, and merchant ID are considered strict filters. These filters are applied first and limit your results before the criteria from any other filters.

For example, if you apply a product name filter and also apply a merchant filter, only products from that merchant will be searched.

If there’s no match from that merchant, your results will be empty, even if the product exists from another merchant.

On the other hand, filters like product name or description are a bit more flexible.

These fields allow for broader matching and tend to work together more smoothly. You can use multiple at once to quickly narrow results down.

Understanding how these filters work together makes it easier to build cleaner, more accurate Product Sets.
