Datafeedr Plugin Update: 3.6 is Available

Version 3.6 has been released. The release deals primarily with bug fixes.

Features:
- added sitemap support for stores larger than 50,000 pages.
- added sitemap support for Custom Pages.

Fixes:
- added support for unusually configured SUBDOMAIN_DOCUMENT_ROOT.
- increased size of site_link field in products table to accommodate long URLs.
- fixed broken plugin menu CSS.
- fixed bug related to Datafeedr not appearing in the Tools menu.
- fixed issue with author not being set on dripped posts.
- fixed issue with images with the .jpeg extension not being saved locally.
- fixed Search tabs to disallow searches on pages that don't allow product subscription creation.

UPGRADE INSTRUCTIONS
1. Upgrade the plugin to the newest version (instructions (http://www.datafeedr.com/docs/item/127)).
2. After your plugin is upgraded, you MUST click the [Update Products and Settings] button to update your store.

Speaking of which, for future version like v3.7, v3.8 ... What's the difference between updating as suggested (deactivate old, delete files, add new, reactivate, etc) versus the built in Tools/Datafeedr/General/Plugin Update ...? Everytime I go into the settings, I always check my version against the latest version, and if different click the button to automatically upgrade. Will that create problems if upgrading from 3.6 to 3.7 numbers?

Yes, we release updates and then send out email notifications a little later based on the number of new bugs introduced in the new version. No sense in sending out an email to upgrade to the newest version when there are new bugs.

If it's possible to upgrade the Datafeedr plugin here WordPress Admin Area > Tools > Datafeedr, then I would recommend doing it that way. That way all permissions are set up properly.

Hi Eric,

Any more thoughts on being able to 'facebook like' (and other social media) actual product pages rather than just the store page as this is a really important feature that I think we need. At the moment, it's really hard to promote individual products rather than the site in general.

Appreciate your thoughts.
