We've released a new version of the Datafeedr Plugin.
This fixes a few bugs related to Semiologic, redirects to merchant sites and drip functionality bugs.
We encourage everyone to upgrade as soon as possible.
Upgrading is easy and takes less than 3 minutes. Watch the upgrade video (http://www.datafeedr.com/members/screencasts.php).
Upgrade here: http://www.datafeedr.com/members/download/
Thanks,
Eric

Hi Guys,
I finally finished creating my first store (held up waiting for
merchant approvals) and as you can imagine, I'm very anxious
to get it online.
I noticed that the datafeedr plugin had been updated since
I joined last Tuesday... so I figured that I had better do that
first.
I carefully followed along with Eric's explicit video instructions,
pausing the video at every step and rewatching it to be sure
that I did it exactly the same as he did.
Everything seemed to be going perfectly until I went into the
WP admin and clicked on activate for the 2 datafeedr plugins.
When I did... here it the message that resulted.
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare dfr_get_params() (previously declared in /home2/onlinewi/public_html/wp-content/plugins/datafeedr/datafeedr.php:60) in /home2/onlinewi/public_html/wp-content/plugins/datafeedr/datafeedr.php on line 58
Can anyone tell me how to proceed?
Thank you for your help.
Frustrated Don :(

Are you using FileZilla as your FTP program?

yes

I had the exact same problems when using FileZilla. I also don't know what caused the problem because after I closed and then re-opened FZ, the problem went away... Therefore, I was unable to troubleshoot the problem. You could try quitting and re-launching the program.
If that doesn't work, I would suggest deleting the datafeedr directory (/wp-content/plugins/datafeedr/) first and then try uploading the new datafeedr directory.

Hi Eric,
I have backed up my files and I have deleted the datafeedr folder from the
plugins folder on the server side of my FTP (Filezilla) program.
I went to the video called "installing the datafeedr plugin" and at one point you
stated that your FTP program allows you to "Merge" the wp-content folders...
instead of overwriting the files.
Filezilla does not have that specific option, but there is an option to "skip" files that have the same file name.
If I skip those files while uploading the others, won't I be doing the same thing
as what your program does when you click "Merge"?
If not, what would you recommend?
As always,
thank you for your help.

If you are replacing the datafeedr folder that is in the plugins folder, you must completely overwrite what is there. If you merge, then your upgrade will fail.
I recommend watching the plugin upgrade video on this page:
http://www.datafeedr.com/members/manage-feeds.php
In that video, I do not use the 'merge' function so the upgrade will probably make more sense.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
Eric
